Our Mission
Extending God's Love and Making Disciples
Our Mission Statement
“To extend God’s love and teachings to the unchurched, guiding them through discipleship to become dedicated followers of Christ, empowered to make disciples themselves.”
— Matthew 28:19“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
Introduction
Our vision describes the destination God has given us. Our mission describes the pathway through which that vision is fulfilled.
At Shekinah Blaze Outreach International, our mission is rooted in the Great Commission given by Jesus Christ. We believe that every believer is called to participate in God’s redemptive plan by sharing His love, proclaiming His truth, and making disciples who will continue the work of the Kingdom.
The mission of the Church is not confined to a building, a Sunday service, or a specific ministry programme. It extends into homes, schools, workplaces, communities, cities, and nations.
Through this mission, we seek to bring people into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and help them become mature disciples who influence others for the glory of God.
Understanding Our Mission
Our mission consists of five key components: 1. To Extend God’s Love 2. To Extend God’s Teachings 3. To Reach the Unchurched 4. To Guide Through Discipleship 5. To Empower Disciple-Makers Each component forms an essential part of our ministry assignment.
1. TO EXTEND GOD’S LOVE
Demonstrating the Heart of Christ
The foundation of our mission is the love of God.
The Gospel begins with God’s love for humanity.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…”
(John 3:16)
At Shekinah Blaze Outreach International, we believe that people must not only hear about God’s love—they must experience it.
Therefore, we seek to demonstrate the love of Christ through:
• Compassionate ministry
• Community outreach
• Feeding programmes
• Care for vulnerable families
• Pastoral support
• Counseling and restoration
• Prayer ministry
• Acts of kindness and service
The love of God creates opportunities for transformation. When people encounter genuine Christian love, their hearts become open to receiving the message of Christ.
We believe that every act of compassion serves as a reflection of God’s heart toward humanity.
2. TO EXTEND GOD’S TEACHINGS
Proclaiming Biblical Truth
While love opens hearts, truth transforms lives.
The Church is called to proclaim the unchanging truth of God’s Word.
At Shekinah Blaze Outreach International, we are committed to teaching Biblical principles that bring spiritual growth, wisdom, healing, and transformation.
We believe that God’s Word provides guidance for every area of life, including:
• Personal character
• Family relationships
• Marriage
• Parenting
• Leadership
• Finances
• Business
• Community engagement
• Spiritual growth
• Kingdom living
The teachings of Scripture provide the foundation upon which believers build stable, productive, and God-honoring lives.
For this reason, sound doctrine remains central to every ministry activity.
3. TO REACH THE UNCHURCHED
Going Beyond the Church Walls
Our mission specifically emphasizes reaching those who have not yet encountered Jesus Christ or who have become disconnected from the Church.
We believe that the Church must actively pursue people rather than simply waiting for people to come to the Church.
Jesus Himself demonstrated this mission when He sought out the lost, the forgotten, the rejected, and those in need of salvation.
Following His example, Shekinah Blaze Outreach International is committed to reaching people through:
• Community evangelism
• Open-air services
• Door-to-door ministry
• Outreach campaigns
• School and youth programmes
• Social media and digital ministry
• Community service projects
• Prayer outreach initiatives
Our goal is to introduce people to Jesus Christ and connect them to a community where they can grow spiritually.
4. TO GUIDE THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP
From Converts to Mature Believers
Evangelism introduces people to Christ. Discipleship teaches them how to follow Him.
Jesus did not merely instruct His followers to make converts; He commanded them to make disciples.
Discipleship is therefore one of the most important responsibilities of the Church.
At Shekinah Blaze Outreach International, discipleship is a lifelong process of spiritual growth and transformation.
We seek to guide believers through:
• Biblical teaching
• Prayer development
• Spiritual mentoring
• Leadership training
• Accountability relationships
• Ministry involvement
• Character formation
• Kingdom lifestyle development
The objective is to help every believer grow into spiritual maturity and become firmly established in their faith.
A healthy disciple becomes a stable believer, an effective servant, and a future leader.
5. TO BECOME DEDICATED FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST
Building Christ-Centered Lives
Our mission is not merely to increase church attendance.
Our goal is to help people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Dedicated followers of Christ:
• Love God wholeheartedly.
• Obey God’s Word.
• Pursue holiness.
• Demonstrate Christ-like character.
• Serve faithfully.
• Walk in integrity.
• Love others sincerely.
• Live as ambassadors of God’s Kingdom.
We believe that genuine discipleship produces visible transformation.
As people grow in their relationship with Christ, every area of their lives begins to reflect His nature and His purposes.
Empowered to Make Disciples
The Principle of Multiplication
The mission of the Church does not end with individual transformation.
Every disciple is called to become a disciple-maker.
This principle of multiplication is essential to Kingdom growth.
Jesus invested in a few disciples who later transformed the world.
Likewise, Shekinah Blaze Outreach International seeks to equip believers to influence others through teaching, mentoring, evangelism, leadership, and service.
Our mission succeeds when:
• Disciples become leaders.
• Leaders develop other leaders.
• Ministries multiply.
• Communities are transformed.
• New churches are established.
• The Gospel continues spreading through future generations.
Multiplication ensures that the impact of the ministry extends far beyond the current generation.
