Chapter Two

Our Story

The Story of Shekinah Blaze Outreach International

A Vision Born from God’s Calling

Every ministry has a beginning, but every true ministry begins in the heart of God.

The story of Shekinah Blaze Outreach International did not begin with a church building, a congregation, or a ministry programme. It began with a young man who sensed the hand of God upon his life while still in high school. During those formative years, God’s calling upon the life of George Vumile Mosokini became increasingly evident. Although the full scope of the assignment was not yet clear, there was a growing conviction that God was preparing him for a life dedicated to serving His Kingdom and His people.

As the years progressed, the Lord continued to shape, prepare, and position him for the work that lay ahead. Through seasons of learning, prayer, personal growth, and spiritual development, God was laying the foundation for a ministry that would ultimately impact many lives and communities.

The Birth of the Vision

In 2008, God entrusted Apostle GV Mosokini with a vision that would later become known as Shekinah Blaze Outreach International.

This vision was not merely about establishing another church congregation. It was a Kingdom assignment centered on raising God-fearing leaders, transforming lives through the power of God’s Word, and demonstrating the love of Christ in practical and life-changing ways.

The vision carried a strong emphasis on discipleship, leadership development, community transformation, and hosting the tangible presence of God. It was a vision rooted in the belief that when people encounter God’s presence, their lives can never remain the same.

The vision also carried a burden for the lost, the broken, the forgotten, and those searching for purpose. It was God’s call to build a ministry where people would not simply attend services, but would encounter Christ, discover their purpose, and be equipped to influence their world.

The Meaning Behind the Name

The name Shekinah Blaze Outreach International carries profound spiritual significance.

The word Shekinah refers to the manifested dwelling presence and glory of God. Throughout Scripture, God’s presence distinguished His people from all others. His presence brought guidance, protection, transformation, and divine encounter.

The word Blaze represents the fire of God. Fire speaks of God’s holiness, power, purification, passion, and supernatural activity. Fire illuminates darkness, brings transformation, and serves as a visible sign of God’s presence.

Together, the name Shekinah Blaze communicates:

“The Dwelling Place of God Distinguished by Fire.”

It reflects the conviction that this House of God must be known by the presence of God. More than programmes, buildings, or activities, the ministry seeks to cultivate an environment where people encounter the living God and experience life-changing transformation through His presence.

The vision of Shekinah Blaze Outreach International is therefore centered on hosting the presence of God and allowing that presence to transform individuals, families, communities, and generations.

Humble Beginnings

Every great work of God begins with a step of faith.

The ministry was established in Mapoteng Village, Mothibistad, near Kuruman in the Northern Cape Province of South Africa.

What started as a vision in the heart of God’s servant became a reality when the first gathering was held with only five people in attendance.

From a natural perspective, the gathering appeared small and insignificant. However, throughout Scripture, God has often chosen small beginnings as the starting point for great Kingdom purposes.

Those first gatherings were marked by faith, prayer, commitment, and a desire to see God move among His people. The focus was never on numbers but on obedience to God’s instruction and faithfulness to the assignment He had given.

The ministry embraced the principle found in Zechariah 4:10:

“For who has despised the day of small things?”

The small beginning became the seed from which God would continue to build His work.

Witnessing the Faithfulness of God

Since its establishment, Shekinah Blaze Outreach International has witnessed the faithfulness of God in countless ways.

Lives have been transformed through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

Families have experienced restoration and healing.

Men, women, and young people have encountered Jesus Christ and discovered their God-given purpose.

Many have experienced spiritual growth, emotional healing, deliverance, and renewed hope.

The ministry has also witnessed both numerical growth and spiritual maturity among believers who have committed themselves to discipleship and Kingdom service.

Through every season, God has remained faithful to His promises, confirming His Word through transformed lives and changed communities.

Impacting the Community

From its inception, Shekinah Blaze Outreach International has understood that ministry extends beyond the four walls of the church.

The ministry has consistently sought to demonstrate the love of Christ through practical acts of compassion and community engagement.

Among the various initiatives undertaken over the years are:

• Distribution of food parcels to vulnerable families.
• Donation of school shoes to children in need.
• Distribution of clothing to disadvantaged individuals and families.
• Prayer and counseling support to community members.
• Outreach initiatives aimed at restoring hope and strengthening families.

These acts of service reflect the ministry’s belief that the Gospel must be both proclaimed and demonstrated.

By meeting practical needs while sharing the message of Christ, the ministry seeks to reveal the heart of God to the communities it serves.

The Role of Prophetess ME Mosokini

A significant chapter in the history of Shekinah Blaze Outreach International began in 2014 when Apostle GV Mosokini married Prophet ME Mosokini.
